We are looking for information on some of our ancestors that we have little information on. Any information you could share would be appreciated, please email me: ed@sandersweb.net
1. William Thomas Jolly
My gm Mary Margaret "Margie" (Jolly) Davis' father was William Thomas Jolly (b. abt 1850). Thomas was married to Mary Margaret Clarke and had one daughter, my gm Mary Martha Jolly (born 1890). He may have had a son William Jolly. Thomas Jolly was murdered near Mt. Airy, NC when Margie was a small child. Margie was raised in Mount Airy (step-parents unknown). We know only a few details about her life in Mt. Airy. We do know that her best friend was Pearl Beasley (married to a John Beasley). Margie later moved to Rock Hill, SC. where she married my gf Archie Foster Davis (son of Daniel Webster Davis, Moore County, NC). The only other Jolly family connections that we know of are: W.A Jolly (1870-1921). He married my gf sister Della Frances Davis (1875- 1914), and a Della Mae Jolly who also lived in Rock Hill, SC. We are looking for any information on Thomas Jolly and his family.
2. Davis Homestead
We are looking for a better copy of the article on the Davis Homeplace, Robbins, Moore County, NC, and a better photo.
3. Jesse Saunders/Sanders (born c. 1777, Chatham, NC)
We have some evidence that the Jesse Sanders, son of William Saunders/Sanders of Chatham, NC, moved to Moore County and is the father of our Hardy Sanders. We do not yet have conclusive proof and are looking for any information that could help us prove or disprove this theory. If you have any information or suggestions regarding Jesse Sanders please email webmaster@sandersweb.net.
