The Brittan Sanders (sometimes spelled Britton) in our line was born Moore County and was the son of Hardy Sanders. We are not sure of the connection between Hardy Sanders family and the Britton L. Sanders family of Montgomery County.

Brittan is buried in the Browns Chapel Church (b. 1831- d. 1913). He served in the Civil War, Co. F. 3^rd Infantry Regiment, CSA and was at the battles of Gettysburg & Cold Harbor.

He was married in 1851 to Susannah "Susy" Morgan (1832-1852). After her death he re-married Susy's sister Sarah Ann "Spicey" Morgan (1837-1913).
Brittan and Spicy Sanders lived in the Sanders Log Cabin.
